Teaching and Education
Dr Kim Proudlove
Teaching is something I really enjoy doing, and have invested time and skills into teaching at all levels from medical students to advanced registrar trainees.
My interest in teaching is well demonstrated since obtaining my fellowship in 2014
I have created and maintained the weekly education roster for the accredited rehabilitation registrars at Caulfield hospital.
I have provided education sessions and tutorials to the Victoria-wide network of accredited rehabilitation registrars.
With each new rotation of junior doctors across Caulfield hospital, I am the sole person responsible for providing hands-on training in the emergency management of tracheostomies.
I regularly participate in examination preparation through creating and running mock OSCE stations.
I have been an examiner for the clinical FAFRM RACP examinations, as well as participated in the writing and marking of the written FAFRM RACP examinations.
I have completed all the requisite modules through the RACP to be an accredited supervisor.
I have been a supervisor of rehabilitation registrars consistently since 2014, and am repeatedly given positive feedback from the trainees I supervise about the quality of my teaching.
I am on the RACP listings of accredited long case assessors https://www.racp.edu.au/docs/default-source/trainees/advanced-training/rehabilitation-medicine/rehabilitation-medicine-accredited-long-case-assessors.pdf?sfvrsn=beaa141a_52
